Update of the Month — October 2008: Staff Purge, New Hack Release, and Jailbait Section Reopened

The founder cleans house, opens the gallery, drops a TF2/DoDS hack, and casually announces a paid 'jailbait' section — peak fkn0wned chaos in one post.

A founder-authored 'state of the site' announcement from TuxifieD laying out a batch of changes: staff recruitment now goes solely through him after issues with 'untrustworthy' staff, talk of an h4cky0u affiliation, a new security team, a released DoDS/TF2 hack link for members to promote, a reopened gallery, and a reopened (partly paywalled) jailbait subforum. It's a snapshot of the site's loose, ad-hoc management style and the disturbing mix of cheat-scene hosting with exploitative content sections that was common on shady forums of that era. The thread drew at least one reply before continuing across multiple pages.

Well im sick of lying untrust worthy staff, from now on all staff is recruited through me and only me— TuxifieD

New Combat-Arms Hack Public Released

Free public Combat Arms cheat drops right before Christmas 2009 — cue five pages of 'does this work?'

Founder TuxifieD posted a free public release of a Combat Arms (NA) cheat coded by [FKN]zmansquared, loaded through the site's SCDS client and gated behind a Fkn0wned membership login. The thread quickly filled with the classic cheat-release cycle: excited thanks, a wave of injection failures, crash reports across XP/Vista/Windows 7, requests for video tutorials, and a running joke about 'one post wonders' showing up just to complain. The tool got a December 26th feature update (added no-fog, unlimited respawn, panic key) but by early-to-mid 2010 users were reporting it detected/patched, with a few nostalgic thank-yous for the days it worked well.

Although atm the code doesn't work, I'd like to thank the programmer & Tux for posting for free such a fun hack.— geiz

Recruiting Coders

Fkn0wned's founder puts out an open call for hack coders — 2008, back when the site still had big plans.

A brief announcement thread from October 2008 in which site founder TuxifieD publicly recruits coders capable of producing hacks for 'all games, small and big,' inviting interested members to message him directly. Fellow member -Darkness- chimes in suggesting a member named millerlite and asking if VB.NET is an acceptable language, while forum smod Afteryou also drops in. Short and businesslike, it captures the site's early growth phase when it was actively trying to build out its cheat development side.

We are currently recruiting coders for all games, small and big so Message me if you are able to produce good hacks for current games. Simple as that people..— TuxifieD
Ask millerlite. Is vb.net ok?— -Darkness-

Fkn0wned iPoint's System Revival

Skippy resurrects the forum's dormant points system with a shop, a lottery, and a whole lot of scrub-shaming.

Staff member Skippy announced a relaunch of Fkn0wned's long-dormant points system ('ƒokens'), proposing a points shop where users could buy userbar upgrades, name colors/styles, ad-free access, VIP/1K club time, custom GFX crew sigs, and other cosmetic perks, plus a points-based lottery. The system was pitched as a replacement for the old 'Reputation' mod, with points earned via contests (Sig of the Week, Member of the Month, etc.) and staff rewards for good posts. The thread got a warm, hyped reception from regulars, with some debate over whether buying post-count with points would encourage spam, and a bit of ex-member Panda calling out that the reward list looked suspiciously like an old idea of theirs.

Your scrub.— Skippy
Take out the ability to buy posts. That is ridiculous.— vermiLLion
Haha Skip, that list of ways to redeem points looks super familiar to me ;)— Panda
