[Scammer] zEpp — Market Place scammer report
The $2 Steam account hustle finally caught up with zEpp, and the whole board piled on.
Mystery121 opened a scammer report against zEpp, alleging he paid for 7 game accounts (MW2, L4D2, CSS) but only received 5 before zEpp blocked him and dismissed the complaint over MSN as just being 'shitlisted.' zEpp defended himself by pointing to his history of giving away and selling huge volumes of cheap Steam accounts, arguing a few complaints were inevitable at that scale. The thread splits the community: some members (aimshot120) defend zEpp as a prolific, mostly reliable seller, while others (hoOkz, Sleeping Forest, NIX, misterfopje, TuxifieD) call for a ban, and longtime member SnEaKyJoKER chimes in with his own older grievance about a prior deal gone bad with zEpp.
not scamming you are just shitlisted— zEpp
it's a business technique you do what it takes to make a sale i'm in it to make extra money not to be bothered— zEpp
u beg like a dog saying plz dont retrieved it...— SnEaKyJoKER
bradboo Scammer Callout: $80 RuneScape Account That Never Existed
$80 RuneScape account that never existed — cue a Canadian death threat and a scammer banlist entry
Member cixxa accused user bradboo of selling him a fake level 120 RuneScape account for $80, posting screenshots as proof and demanding a ban (plus some over-the-top rage about slitting throats). Other members chimed in with sympathy, warnings about always using a middle-man for market trades, and one poster claiming bradboo had also tried and failed to scam them. A staff smod (SNK) closed the thread and confirmed bradboo was added to the banlist, while founder TuxifieD pushed back on the idea that the site itself was responsible for a member-to-member scam.
he scammed me for 80$ and he just went busy on msn and wont reply to my damn messages. he is a scamming little bitch— cixxa
Closed; added to Banlist. By the way he only had 149 posts.— SNK
So when you say "Just thought fkn0wned was legit" how are we not legit? We didnt sell you shit. Think before you talk.— TuxifieD
zEpp's Market Place Review Thread
One glowing review in, and a founder slams the door shut on zEpp's trading rep.
This was a Market Place 'User Review' thread for a seller named zEpp, meant to collect feedback only on transactions from 2/27/2010 onward, explicitly telling people not to dredge up old sales. A single buyer, Sinista, chimed in with a quick positive review of an account purchase. Almost immediately after, founder TuxifieD locked the thread and banned zEpp from the Market Place entirely, with no further explanation given beyond a terse moderator note.
Lets start over now. Don't bring up anything from old topics or sales.— zEpp
zEpp you're done in the market place. Thanks.— TuxifieD
The 'mcm' Account Scammer Callout
Bought a 'safe' MW2 account from mcm — it got reclaimed the very next day.
A user review thread where member tactical101 called out seller 'mcm' for selling a Modern Warfare 2 account that was supposedly secure from reclamation, only for it to be retrieved by the original owner within a day, followed by mcm allegedly ghosting on MSN. Another member, majrbrawl, suggested taking it up with staff and posting in mcm's actual sales thread — to which tactical101 replied that his post there had been deleted. Seller S3RK chimed in with a disclaimer that sellers aren't responsible post-purchase and touted his own 'more secure' methods, offering to sort out a replacement account. A small but classic slice of the Market Place account-trading drama common to forums like this.
Well i bought a mw2 account from mcm. The one he promised would not get retrieved. The next day it gets retrieved.— tactical101
i did but it got deleted— tactical101
Well, as my rules go. I'm not responsible for the account after you purchase it.— S3RK
Slickz Reviews (Market Place Vouch Thread)
Old-school vouch thread where Slickz's trading rep got stamped by the regulars.
This was a personal 'vouch' thread in the Market Place > User Review section, where member Slickz invited others to post feedback on trades or gifts he'd given them. A handful of members (Yunyun, 1up, prasadudwadia) chimed in with quick, positive reviews confirming smooth trades involving game accounts. It's a small but typical slice of the forum's informal reputation economy, where trust was built one vouch post at a time rather than through any formal system.
Post here if You traded/bought with me or if i just gave you free shit :D— Slickz
Traded a CSS account he went first VERY SMOOTH <3 Thanks again Slickz— 1up
i did a trade with slickz, and i got an orphan... No really, i got an Orphan from him : XD , everything went smooth and i recommend this nigga— prasadudwadia
hoOkz Steam Trader Vouch Thread
The marketplace regulars line up to co-sign hoOkz as one of the forum's most trusted Steam traders.
A vouch thread from the Market Place's User Review board where seller hoOkz asked past customers and trade partners to leave feedback. A handful of VIPs and regular members, plus a site smod, chimed in confirming smooth transactions and calling him legit. The tone is casual and jokey, with members ribbing each other affectionately rather than any real drama — a snapshot of the forum's informal reputation-vouching system for account/Steam trading.
Legit Steam Seller. Ahh.. trading back in the days. Has my vouch. He's a sexy guy.— XpliciteR
Buttseckz was a pain without vaselin, hoOkz is your vaselin.— Sleeping Forest
Alright if you bought a steam of me or did a trade please reply in here :)— hoOkz
Prowler.inc Vendor Feedback Thread
A vendor's feedback thread, stacked wall-to-wall with '10/10, went smooth' — the old forum trust economy in action.
This was a vendor feedback thread in the Market Place's User Review section, where a member going by prowler.inc invited buyers to leave reviews of their transactions. A steady stream of members chimed in with short, positive testimonials praising fast delivery and smooth deals, a typical ritual for building reputation in the forum's account/goods trading scene. The thread reads as pure vouching culture — no drama, just a vendor's track record being built one reply at a time.
Went first, got the account seconds later. Went smooth. ;)— Gramdtante
This guy ROCKS, i was a retard with paypal but he helped me with it and sold me an account really fast. 10/10 mate!— PurePwnage99
A very nice guy everything went fine helped me out with my problems <3— rowix
hav0k's reviews! (ckgx attention-seeking thread shut down)
A guy named ckgx tried to start his own review thread — under a title that wasn't even his username.
A short, mostly dead-on-arrival thread in the Market Place > User Review board where member ckgx posted asking others to leave reviews of him, oddly titled after a different user, 'hav0k.' It was immediately shut down by [FkN] Security Crew member kasper5150 calling it attention-seeking, with ckgx firing back a single sarcastic reply before the topic fizzled out with no further posts.
Post reviews of me. :]— ckgx
no gtfo attention whore— kasper5150
Cute.— ckgx
User Review: Rock Superstar
A Market Place vet cashes in his rep with two glowing vouches for account trades.
This is a vouch/review thread from the Market Place's User Review subforum, where member Rock Superstar (a longtime '500 Club' member since 2007) asked others to publicly review trades they'd done with him. Two members, Exover and albert90, responded confirming smooth transactions involving Steam accounts bundled with games like COD6 and CS/CSS, praising him as trustworthy and helpful. It's a small, mundane but characteristic slice of the forum's account/key trading economy and reputation culture.
Just bought a steam account with COD6. Great seller and very nice.— Exover
Was as promised not VAC-Banned and no login for over a year! Gave me tips on how to not get disabled! Nice guy, trusted seller!— albert90
