One VIP called out staff for shooting down every forum idea — and got a very Fkn0wned reply back
A June 2011 suggestions-board thread where VIP member Fopje argued that staff rejected too many member-proposed subforum ideas (a porn section, literature section, automotive section, video editing section, deals section, and removing porn from the shoutbox) without giving them a trial run. Staff moderator Emrys pushed back, saying most ideas were rejected for good reason — lack of resources, past bad experience, or simply not being viable. Other members chimed in with mixed takes, someone suggested member polls instead of unilateral staff decisions, and a tangent about porn in the shoutbox got shut down as off-topic. A fairly mundane but characteristic bit of forum governance grumbling from the site's community.
